Plasma ball

Einar Öberg (@inear) is back, and this time he’s bringing the 80s love. He’s created a plasma ball using Three.js. I had one of these in real life (feeling old now) so my nostalgia rating went sky-high when I played around with this.

There’s a good little write-up of the experiment on his site as well, so go ahead and check that out. When you look at the experiment notice his attention to detail: reflection and refraction on the sphere, the dispersion of the lightning on its surface and the glow, to name just a few things.
