After featuring his previous experiment, we knew it’d be a good idea to keep an eye on what Bruno Imbrizi did next.
‘Mind the Gap‘ is a physically accurate model of the London Underground system. In 3D! Every station and line follows its actual over-under-roundabout path. Cunningly, Bruno found a couple of useful Freedom of Information requests made to Transport for London a few years back which provided the data needed to build the model. A few hours work for a public transport official, years of fun for location-based JS experimentation.
On top of the physical accuracy, the trains are also (roughly) accurate with their schedules, too. Well, as accurate as the trains are themselves. Whether that matches the timetable is a different matter.
